Privacy
Privacy, plainly.
Astrical is designed to show and organize your schedule without building a profile about you. This policy explains what the app can access, where that information lives, and the controls available to you.
The short version
Your schedule stays yours.
- No Astrical accountNo calendar-data backend or separate sign-in.
- No ads or trackingNo advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- No data sellingYour personal information is never rented or sold.
01
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Astrical for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac. Astrical is developed by Anthony Apostol. In this policy, “Astrical,” “we,” and “us” refer to the app and its developer.
Astrical does not collect personal data through the app for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or model training.
02
Calendars and reminders
With your permission, Astrical uses Apple’s EventKit framework to read, create, update, and delete events and reminders in the accounts available to Apple Calendar and Reminders on your device. This may include iCloud, Google, Microsoft, or other accounts you add in system settings.
Calendar and reminder information remains on your devices and with the account providers you chose. Astrical does not send this information to an Astrical server. In the current release, Astrical does not offer a separate Google or Microsoft account sign-in and does not receive your account password.
Widgets, Live Activities, and the Apple Watch app receive only the local schedule information needed to provide those features through Apple’s device and app-group services.
03
Optional features
Health and cycle information
If you enable Cycle Tracking and grant access, Astrical can read limited menstrual-cycle information from Apple Health to calculate private schedule estimates. The calculation and saved cycle preferences stay on your device. Astrical does not upload Health data or use it for advertising, profiling, or medical diagnosis.
Location, maps, weather, and travel time
If you enable a feature that needs location, Astrical uses location only while the app is open to resolve a place, calculate travel time, or provide relevant weather context. Astrical does not perform background location tracking. Requests may be handled in real time by Apple services such as Maps and WeatherKit under Apple’s privacy practices; Astrical does not keep a server-side location history.
On-device intelligence
When available, Astrical may use Apple’s on-device intelligence to turn natural-language text into an editable event or reminder draft. Astrical does not send that text to an Astrical server for processing or training.
04
iCloud sync and Shared Spaces
If you enable iCloud sync, app settings such as themes, Calendar Sets, templates, availability preferences, and widget choices may be stored in your private iCloud account. Astrical does not operate the iCloud service or receive a separate copy of this information.
Shared Spaces use Apple CloudKit. Information you place in a Shared Space is shared with the people you explicitly invite and is governed by their access to that space. Calendar events themselves remain in your calendar accounts unless you separately choose to share them there.
05
Purchases
Optional tips and the lifetime Astrical Pro purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Astrical receives verified entitlement information needed to deliver a purchase, but does not receive your payment-card or banking details. Apple may provide developers with aggregated financial and sales reports.
06
Support messages
If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use it only to reply, troubleshoot, protect the app, and maintain an appropriate support record. Please avoid including calendar, health, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.
The support form on this website sends your message to our support mailbox through an email delivery provider, Resend, acting on our behalf. The message is not stored on Astrical infrastructure, and your calendar data is never part of it. You can email support@astrical.app directly instead if you prefer not to use the form.
07
Storage and retention
- Local app information remains until you reset the relevant feature or delete Astrical.
- Calendar and reminder information is retained by the providers and accounts you selected.
- iCloud information remains in your iCloud account and any Shared Spaces you own or participate in.
- Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, keep necessary records, and meet legal obligations.
08
Your choices and controls
- Manage Calendar, Reminders, Health, Location, and notification permissions in system settings.
- Add or remove calendar accounts through Apple Calendar account settings.
- Turn optional Astrical features and iCloud sync on or off in the app.
- Manage or leave a Shared Space using its sharing controls.
- Delete Astrical to remove its locally stored information from that device.
- Email us to request deletion of support correspondence associated with your email address, subject to records we must retain.
09
Children’s privacy
Astrical is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the user’s jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Astrical changes. We will revise the effective date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. The policy that applies is the version posted here when you use the app.
